              From England, Scotland and the Continent


              Option 1
              If you are coming from Scotland, turn off the southbound M6 towards the westbound M56. If you are coming from the south of England or the Continent, then turn off the northbound M6 at J20 (M56) towards A55 expressway. Stay on the A55 expressway along the North Wales coast. The first exit for Bangor is the A5/A5122 exit. Leave the expressway at this exit and head for the A5122 towards Bangor. This road continues into Bangor city centre along Beach Road.

              Option 2
              After coming out of Birmingham, stay on the northbound M6 until you reach the M54 exit. Stay on the westbound M54 until it terminates. From here head for the A5. Stay on the winding roads of the A5 through the Snowdonia mountains until you reach the A5122/A55 roundabout. At the roundabout carry straight on the A5122 towards Bangor. This road continues into Bangor city centre along Beach Road.

              Option 2 is not recommended for travellers from the North of England or Scotland. The condition of the A5 is poor in some places, and can be slow during the high season and other busy periods.
